Like most people in the blogosphere I am more commonly a lurker than a commenter. (Or, as my old battalion commander would put it, I am more of an "aginner" than a "forer.") But I have to say I do appreciate when Jane Smith runs her occasional "Pitch Parties" which sort of force comments. Like "paying it forward" you get free advertisement for your blog but then you have to comment on at least three others. At the last one I randomly inspired a total stranger to write a flash fiction story. What can I say, these things are great.
