BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS - BOOKBUB OR BUST!

 Hi everyone!

So much happening this month - first BROKEN-DOWN HEROES OF THE WESTERN NIGHT ebooks go on "sale" for the sweet price of nothing, and now I'm able to offer you this...

BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS is now available for only $0.99! (UK, Australia, Canada). The offer runs until the end of the month (we love being involved with BookBub).

Six billion identical clones make up the entire population of Earth, and William 790-6 (57th Iteration) is exactly like everybody else. In his one year of life he will toil in suburban mediocrity and spend as much cash as possible in order to please his corporate masters. When 790’s first birthday (and scheduled execution) finally rolls around, a freak accident spares his life.

Living past his expiration date changes 790 profoundly. Unlike other clones he becomes capable of questioning the futility of his own existence. Seeking answers in the wilderness, he discovers a windmill with some very strange occupants, including a freakish, dinosaur-like monstrosity. Which is especially strange since every animal on earth is supposed to be extinct…

Dark, haunting, and blisteringly satirical, BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS is the story of one “man’s” attempt to finally become an individual in a world of copies.

If you'd like to get your hands on your own copy, you can find it here:

If that LOW AWESOME PRICE doesn't tempt you, let me show you a few of the reviews :)

It's great for me to get to re-unleash BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS on the world at such a discount - I hope you enjoy it!

Free Audiobooks!

Hey Splatter fans, I've got a free audiobook (or three) for each of you:

- THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO
- BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS
- BRAINEATER JONES (available in the US only)

As you may have heard, Audible promo codes are expiring in November. So if I don't get rid of them now they'll just go to waste. So e-mail me (skozeniewski at yahoo) for one, two, or, hell, all three. Hope to hear from you!

Last Chance to Own! (Three Original Novels)

Hey, all!  White Rose Comic Con was very good to me last weekend.  (More on that on Wednesday, hopefully.)

It was so good, in fact, that I am almost out of the original versions of BRAINEATER JONES, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS.  The rights for all three of these novels have reverted to me and I have republished them all.  That means shiny new covers for the future...

...but that also means that the original covers are now collector's items.  No one can ever publish another one again, not even me.  Only about twenty of them still exist, and all in my personal collection.

So, I wanted to offer this last opportunity to you, my fans, before it goes away forever.  I suspect after Scares That Care in August these books will all be gone.  So reach out to me now, utilizing the info in this link, and I will send you your very own autographed copy of one or more of these novels.

BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS $0.99 sale

Hey everybody!  For the next week only, BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS will be on sale across all platforms for only $0.99.  That means you can pick it up via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Google Play, and iTunes.  If you haven't grabbed a copy yet, now is the perfect time!

Six billion identical clones make up the entire population of Earth, and William 790-6 (57th Iteration) is exactly like everybody else. French Press Paperbacks For Sale (And Severed Press Remainders, Too!)

Hey everybody!  I just ordered my first batch of the Authors Preferred Editions of BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS and THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO.  Contributor copies have been distributed, which means I am now open to start selling these at conventions and book signings.

But, of course, as a follower of this fine web log, you get the first crack at everything Kozeniewski-related, and this development is no exception.  Remember, if you'd like to order an autographed copy of these (or any of my books, really) just reach out to me.

In addition to the two French Press titles, I should probably also point out that my supplies of the original Severed Press paperbacks are dwindling.  I have about ten or fifteen of each, and as they are no longer being produced, when they're gone they're gone.  Unless you've bought a paperback in the past, as far as I know I'm in possession of the last copies in the world.  And they could be yours!

New Release Announcement: BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS (Author's Preferred Edition)

Hey everybody!  I'm very pleased to announce the release of the Author's Preferred Edition of BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS.

I hope you'll consider grabbing a copy.  As an independent author, I live or die by word-of-mouth, so I also hope you'll consider sharing the good news on social media, or even just tell a friend.

Here are the answers to some questions you may have:

Where is this available?

You can purchase it in paperback through Amazon.

It's also available in ebook format through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Google Play, and iTunes.

The audiobook (narrated by Steve Rimpici) is also available via Amazon, Audible, and iTunes

Is this new edition really any different from the first edition?

Are you kidding me?  Just check out that brand new artwork by Natasha Tara Petrovic!

But that's not all.  With this release I was able to spread my availability to various other publishing platforms, such as iTunes and Google Play, where BILLY has never been available before.

The paperback has been reformatted with new fonts and interstitial art as well as cleaner, crisper formatting.  I've also made edits, including a really major goof which, no, I'm not going to tell you about.

But you want more content?  You got it.  I've also included a new afterword, which is an essay about my thoughts on BILLY, life, the army, and "The Simpsons."

So, in short, new content, a new look, available more places, and all for less money.  What more could a reader ask for?

Who published this new edition?

This time it was all me.  I've created a new personal imprint, French Press.  Natasha also created our lovely logo.  Based on how well sales of BILLY go, and its sister title THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, you may be seeing more of my books published through this imprint as my rights gradually revert.  And if sales are very good, you may also start seeing original, never-before-seen content from French Press.  As always, watch this space!

What prompted the change to self-publishing?  Have you given up on your agent and small press relationships?

Nothing bad happened at all.  In fact, Severed Press, the original publisher of this title, has treated me with nothing but kindness and respect over the years, up until the moment they reverted my rights to me for this title rather than let it fall out of print.  For the record, that's exactly how a good publishing house is supposed to behave.

I'm still working with my agent to bring some books to bookstores through some New York Big 5 publishers.  But for the horror and science fiction in my back catalog she's happy to let me continue to run my own affairs.  So there will still be small presses and some self-published titles in the future.  You can always stay up to date by following this blog or joining my mailing list.

99¢/Free Sale - BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS

mybook.to/BATC

Hey everybody!  Since shit is expensive all over the good folks at Severed Press have decided to give you (yes, you!) a break and put BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS on sale for only 99¢!  And if you're on Kindle Unlimited, guess what?  It's 100% free.

The sale ends tomorrow (as in Thursday) at 3:00 am EST, so you only have about 15 hours.  Better strike while the iron's hot!

Not convinced?  Well, why listen to me?  Listen to some respected reviewers:

"Billy and the Cloneasaurus is a complex, thought-provoking story that is oddly inspiring. Kozeniewski is a rich voice that booms over his peers. I am coming to think of him as the closest thing to the reincarnation or spiritual successor of Ray Bradbury."
- David Sharp, Horror Underground

"The story is a great blend of humour and philosophical thought, it is utterly un-pretentious and may well have made my list of ‘books to buy in paperback’ for that hypothetical bookshelf I plan on having in the next few months."

"Because the real story is just TOO FREAKIN’ BRILLIANT. It grabbed me from the first page and held me in such rapt fascination that I was almost halfway through and utterly hooked before the cloneasaurus itself appeared and reminded me, “oh yeah, there’s that, too!”"
- Christine Morgan, The Horror Fiction Review

Amazicon or Bust!

I will be at Amazicon this weekend!  It will be a con.  And it will be amazing.  (As evidenced by the name.)

What's so great about Amazicon for the Kozeniewski fan and/or well-wisher?

Well, I will have paperback copies of BRAINEATER JONES, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, BRAVE NEW GIRLS, and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS for sale (naturally.)  However, this convention will be your first opportunity ever to purchase my latest release EVERY KINGDOM DIVIDED in person.  Books are $12 for one or $10 apiece for two or more.  And as always, if you took the time to come out to see me, all autographs are free.

Where is it?

The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton
4727 Concord Pike
Wilmington, DE 19803

When is it?

Friday, 15 April 4:00-10:00pm
Saturday, 16 April 10:00am-7:00pm
Sunday, 17 April 11:00am-5:00pm

I am not scheduled for any panels.  That means you will be able to find me in the vendors room the entire con.  (If the vendors room ends up having separate hours from the rest of the con, I'll update this post.)

What if I hate you?

Not to worry!  Fellow author Mary Fan will also be present Saturday and will also be without panels.  It'll just be us and the lines around the block of our adoring public.

Not to mention I will also have a plethora of books from such great authors as Elizabeth Corrigan, Michael Meyerhofer, Melissa MacVicar, Laura M. Kolar, Collin Tobin, and more!

What if I can't make it?

Can't catch me in Wilmington this weekend?  Here are all my other scheduled appearances this year.  Want me to appear somewhere I'm not currently scheduled?  It could happen.  Contact me and we'll talk about it.

Thanks everybody!

I Appear on "The Horror Show" with Brian Keene

Well, I guess at this point I've spent the whole week talking about this, but whatever, its my blog, I do what I want.  Anyway, as I mentioned on Monday, I go to meet up with Brian Keene, 2014 World Grand Horror Master and Bram Stoker Award-winning author of THE RISING.  (Not to mention my personal hero and the one who inspired me to write horror in the first place - but I have to avoid glurging too much, because supposedly he does read this blog.)

The result was the greatest interview I've ever done, if I do say so myself.  (Or, as Alex DeLarge would say, "a real horror show."  Ha!)  We talked about Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, wargaming, and did a segment on each of my novels.  I was also christened a member of the bizarro community, so yay me!

If you're a fan or a friend I hope you'll help spread this around so we can make it the most listened to episode of "The Horror Show" ever.  (I want to get invited back.)  So click on the picture or check out your preferred link below!

Six Must-Own Books

Hey, everybody!  I didn't really have a plan for today's post, but I have noticed that sales have really kind of taken a nosedive so I thought it might not hurt to just flat-out do an advertising post.  If you enjoy my blog and you like the idea of me being able to live off my writing someday, the two best things you can do to help are to buy my books and to leave reviews on Amazon after you're done.  So here's a quick rundown on all six of my extant titles.  If you want to buy one, just click on the cover.  And if you own all six, you have my eternal gratitude and I hope you will, indeed, leave a review for each, whether you loved it or hated it.

Thanks everybody!

AT HELL'S GATES II is a charity anthology featuring my short story "The Man With Four Scars."  100% of proceeds go to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, servicing veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI.  Just picking up a copy is a good deed, even if you don't enjoy horror.

FAT ZOMBIE is an anthology about the weirdos, freaks, geeks, losers, and unusual survivors of the zombie apocalypse.  My entry, "The New Dark Ages," is by a wide margin my most transgressive work, even trampling the few taboos I hadn't shattered with my sophomore novel, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO.

AT HELL'S GATES, like its sequel, is a charity anthology with all proceeds going to the IFHF.  This features my story "Exploding Shit Zombies," of which I am very proud and I think is equal parts hilarious and gruesome.

BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS is my shortest novel to date, and my least gory.  It's closer to dystopian sci-fi than horror, so it's probably a good jumping-in point for folks that aren't such big fans of horror.  It does have its darker elements, though, and is quite nihilistic.

THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO is my masterpiece, a grand guignol epic of extreme hardcore horror as well as my most literary and philosophical work to date.  Not for the weak of stomach, but my proudest achievement.
Ah, BRAINEATER JONES.  The novel that started it all.  Everybody loves BRAINEATER JONES, I can tell you that.  It's goofy, gory fun, not exactly horror in the traditional sense, but still a blast for gorehounds and non-gorehounds alike.  And if you're not really into the whole "reading" thing, it's also available as an audiobook.

The Trifecta of Trifecta Trifectas

Finding a good reviewer (or, hell, even a bad reviewer who actually follows through) is hard to do.  And reviewers as I've outlined elsewhere are the lifeblood of a budding author's career.  (Was that a mixed metaphor?  No wonder I can't find any damn reviewers...)

Anyway, the point is, I like to highlight my favorite reviewers when I can, because their success is my success, obviously.  Twice before I've highlighted three reviewers who have completed what I jokingly call the Kozeniewski Trifecta (reviewing BRAINEATER JONES, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS.)  That makes this the third time (or trifecta) of highlighting a trifecta of reviewers who have completed the trifecta...get it?

I actually (and obviously) have a soft spot for anyone who's actually read all three of my books.  (Notice I don't say praised...some trifecta winners have been constructive in their criticism, and I appreciate that just as much.)  But today's not about a lengthy introduction from me.  Today's about celebrating the three newest entrants into this lofty and much-vaunted club.  Let's meet them all now!

Christina Torretta

Bohemian with a dark side. Lover of horror and serenity! Currently studying psychology and plan to get my PhD to become a Neuropsychologist. Clinical and Cognitive studies are my goal. Until then I am reading horror of all kinds (ZOMBIES!!) and the odd romance, cause why not?!

You can find Christina on Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, LinkedIn, and, of course, her website Creating Serenity.

And here are the links to Christina's completed trifecta: BRAINEATER JONES, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS.

Erin M. MacCallum

Living in the backwoods somewhere in Alberta Canada, E.M. MacCallum spends most of her time reading, stabbing at her keyboard and transferring the stories in her head onto paper.
Currently she is hard at work on her next story and also running The Reader's Hollow blog which is about books, stories and those who love them.

You can find Erin on Twitter, her author Facebook, her blog The Reader's Hollow, The Reader's Hollow Facebook, and her website.

And here are the links to Erin's completed trifecta: BRAINEATER JONES, THE GHOUL ARCHIPELAGO, and BILLY AND THE CLONEASAURUS.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends or go for a drive through the beautiful Black Hills.
